Interactive Training Program – Font Display Problems
On
a limited number of computer systems, the necessary fonts do not
copy permanently into the Fonts directory. This document
identifies a simple solution to allow the fonts to display
correctly on your computer.
An Overview:
It is necessary to copy the font files from the Fonts
folder on CNHS Disc One and paste them into the Fonts
folder on your computer (C:\Windows\Fonts).
The
Procedure in Detail:
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you exit all programs before
continuing.
STEP
ONE – Copy the Fonts from CNHS Disc One

Insert CNHS Disc One into your
CD-ROM drive.
·
Click START,
slide up the list and click Programs.
·
From the list, click on the program called Windows Explorer to open it.
·
In the left window, slide down to find your CD-ROM
drive from the list
and click on the name
of the disc, “Cnhs_disc1”.
·
Now in the right window, double-click on the
folder called Fonts.
·
At the top of the screen, click Edit.
·
Slide down this list and click Select All.
All of the fonts in the right
window should now be highlighted.
·
Next, click Edit again.
·
Slide down the list and click Copy
to copy the selected fonts.
STEP
TWO – Paste the Fonts into your computer’s Fonts folder

Still in Windows Explorer, look at the left
window again.
·
Find the C:\ drive (your computer’s
primary hard drive) and click the
“+” sign so that it becomes a “–” sign. You should now see a list
of
folders below the C:\ drive’s name and slightly indented.

Find the folder called Windows and click
the “+” sign next to it so that it
becomes a “–”
sign. You should now see a list of folders below its name
and slightly
indented.
·
Now, find the folder called Fonts and click
on it once to select it. The
folder’s name should now be highlighted.

Next, at the top of the screen, click Edit.
·
Slide down and click Paste. The
fonts will now be pasted into your
computer’s Fonts
folder.
NOTE: You may find that some
of the fonts you are trying to copy may already be installed on
your computer. When your computer prompts you of this, click Okay
for each prompt. Clicking Cancel will prevent the
rest of the fonts from being copied.
STEP
THREE – Check to see that Fonts are displaying correctly

Close Windows Explorer and any other open
windows or programs.

Next, with your CNHS disc loaded in the
CD-ROM drive, click
START.
·
Slide up and click Run. A small
window with a text field will open.
·
In the run window’s text field, type “D:\Cnhs_disc1.exe”
(where “D”
is the letter of your CD-ROM drive and “disc1” is the disc you have in
the
drive).
·
Click Okay.
The
CNHS Interactive Training Program should now run with all of the
correct fonts displayed and without any text running off of the
screen. If text still runs off of the screen, check to make sure
the fonts were actually copied. The same font names in the Fonts
folder on Disc One should appear somewhere in the Fonts folder
on your hard drive. Repeat the instructions on this page if
necessary.
